Meet The Creator

Michael “A.” Poke is the Founder and Creative Director for A. Poke Productions. Since earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing from the University of Missouri he has been writing professionally in both, film and print, for over twenty years.

Working with R & B legend Ginuwine, A. Poke wrote the screenplay “Gamers”, which was later optioned by Queen Latifah’s Flavor Unit Films. Gaining valuable industry insight being under contract with such a major film company is what eventually started him on his filmmaking path. Now, with more than twenty original screenplays to his credit, the transition from writer to independent filmmaker to content creator has been seamless.

 

A. Poke has worked on feature film projects, documentaries, and music videos for an array of artist. The most recent project of note, “Struggle Hustle” is the first web series to be produced by A. Poke Productions.
